Dear All Members,
Munster Tennis have announced details of Winter League Phase 2 tournament 2024 & the format for Phase 2 will be a Mixed Teams competition where each team shall consist of 2 ladies and 2 men with subs required for each team entered. Exact dates TBC (matches will commence February 2024 & run until May 2024). This competition is open to ALL clubs within Munster so please be aware of the travel commitments if you are drawn to an away club outside of Cork city.
The Format for this competition will consist of the following matches: 1 x Men’s Singles; 1 x Ladies Singles; 1 x Mixed Doubles followed by 1 x Men’s Doubles and 1 x Ladies Doubles. This event shall be run on a combination league/knockout draw basis with all teams in each group playing each other once. A minimum panel of 6 x players per grade will apply, if the minimum number of players per grade is not reached then a team will not be considered for entry.
It’s important to note that due to the Club Development plans for 2024, there will be a very limited number of teams submitted for Phase 2 Winter League.
