History
Bishopstown LTC has a long and rich history that dates back to 1979, when the club was founded. In the beginning, the club was a small operation with just one tennis court and a shed. However, over the years we have grown and developed into a beautiful five-court club that is located within the scenic Murphy’s farm in Bishopstown.
As the club has grown, we have worked to provide our members with the best possible facilities and services. We have a strong commitment to the local community and are always looking for ways to improve and expand.
Currently, we are in the process of embarking on a major redevelopment plan and are actively seeking new members to join our club. We believe that Bishopstown LTC has a bright future ahead, and we are excited to see what the next chapter holds for us.
Mission
At Bishopstown LTC, our mission is to be an integral part of the community and to make tennis accessible to everyone. We believe that tennis is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and we are committed to providing opportunities for players of all levels to participate and succeed.
To achieve this goal, we have developed a highly successful junior program called “ON THE RISE,” which is designed to accommodate children of all ages and skill levels. Through this program, we aim to nurture young players and help them develop the skills and confidence they need to compete at a national level.
Overall, our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive club that is open to everyone, regardless of age or ability.
Values
At Bishopstown LTC, we value inclusion, community, and personal growth. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of tennis, regardless of their age or skill level.
To this end, we offer a range of programs and resources to help our members succeed and thrive. For example, we offer beginner training sessions that run for six weeks, with a reduced membership rate at the end. This is a great way for new members to get started and learn the basics of the game.
In addition, we have coaches and club captains who are always available to offer guidance and support to our members. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, we are here to help you achieve your goals and reach your full potential.

Vision
At Bishopstown LTC, our vision is to be a thriving and inclusive community of tennis players where everyone can grow and succeed. We have a long history of providing top-quality facilities and coaching to our members, and we are constantly striving to improve and expand our offerings.
One of our major achievements is the growth of our junior program, which is now widely recognized as one of the most successful in Ireland. Our program is led by Coach Conor, who has dedicated years to developing and nurturing the talents of young players.
In addition to our junior program, we also have a strong adult group that includes players of all levels, from beginners to experienced competitors. We recently started offering regular beginner adult training sessions, and we encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch.
Overall, our vision is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where people of all ages and abilities can come together to learn, grow, and enjoy the game of tennis.

At Bishopstown LTC, we are always looking to the future and seeking ways to improve and expand our club. We have exciting plans for the future, including a major redevelopment of our facilities and an aggressive membership drive to bring in new members from all walks of life.
