Methodology
Here is an insight coaching structure for our performance squads.
As a result of extensive research and planning, and following the latest coaching practices we, the coaching team, feel it is time for a complete overhaul of our present structure.
What change?
We feel to move forward and to provide the best service to the players we need to move away from the “one size fits all” coaching methodology being practiced around the country to a player centered, more individualised structure in our performance squads.
How do we achieve this?
At the beginning of each term, each player will be fully profiled – video profiling, match profiling and physical testing. We will analyse this data and from this, we will be able to tailor each players individual needs in a group setting as practiced in the top academies worldwide.
Tennis has changed for us in the last few years as being the parent of a performance player as well as being a coach (as is Mick Hurley), we want the very best for our children. This has been a huge motivation for the overhaul on how we are going to coach in BLTC. That is not to say that what we provided before wasn’t the very best, but we can guarantee going into the future, no club will match what we can offer. The club have not been as excited about anything in tennis for quite some time.
