Thank you to all our Volunteers

Dear Members,

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all who volunteered during our Open this year & welcomed over 400 x players to our club.

To everyone who manned the check-in desk, fed & watered all the players & spectators and to all our talented bakers who made delicious treats…we couldn't have done it without your help & support!!!

Of course, the weather played a huge factor for our Open but it was all our members (Senior & Junior) who really shone for the week!!!!

Don't just take our word for it, see below some feedback emailed by players who entered our Open:

John from Douglas –“ Here’s a photo for your records/ hall of fame. It was well worth the wait.
Thank you and your crew for your hospitality- it was a great week and the win was the cherry on top”.

Willie from Sundays Well – “Rosita I know Fiona contacted you last year about the open and how enjoyable it was. This year it's my turn.

A massive thank you to you and to all who contributed this year. Your tournament has such a great atmosphere- welcoming, supportive, competitive! It was an absolute pleasure to participate… I can only imagine how much commitment goes into organising the event.

And a special thank you for making our son Ned feel so welcome in the clubhouse (he loved the toasties) while we struggled on the courts.

Enjoy finals day now- you have the best day of the year for it! I'm only sorry not to have made it to the end!”

We will be organising a “Volunteer Thank you & Winter League teams” social evening in the coming weeks so it will be a nice opportunity to gather off court for a change (further details will be announced soon).

Many thanks,

Rosita, Vice Captains- Adrian, Denise, Chris, Ger Hall (Head of Social Committee) & all the BLTC committee & social committee members
