Members zoom meeting re redevelopment works for Q&A

Dear members,

As you know work on Phase Two of our redevelopment plan (resurfacing courts two and three) will begin on Monday, 25th March. We expect that this work will take three weeks to complete.

We will be holding a Zoom Meeting tomorrow, Wednesday 20th March at 9pm for all members who wish to attend. This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions regarding the redevelopment. The link for the Zoom meeting is:

We again would like to highlight that courts two and three will be closed for access and bookings from Monday March 25th to Friday April 12th. Court one will be closed for access and bookings on March 25th and 26th to allow for replacement of fencing between courts one and two.

Court bookings during this time

We are again asking you to please bear in mind court availability for all members will be reduced while works are in operation. We are asking that members do not pre book no more than three hours per week during this time to ensure all members have a fair chance of playing during court redevelopment works. Of course there will be no issues booking a court on the day if there are no pre bookings for certain time slots. Also there will be exceptions for the Winter League teams as we understand that the teams will need training time on court as the knock-out stages start soon.

Again, can we just take this opportunity to remind members that courts should only be booked under the names of the people using the courts. Also and we cannot stress this enough, if you are not using your court, no matter what the weather is like, you MUST cancel the court booking. We will be monitoring this carefully from now on. It is unfair to keep the court when other members may be looking for a court.

NEW ACCESS ROUTES AT THE CLUB DURING REDEVELOPMENT WORKS:

1. From Monday 25th March there will be new cordoned off access routes to court one and courts 4,5,6. This means that we will be asking you to follow the directions which will be laid out on how to get to these courts

2. Also from that date there will be new site/machinery access to courts two and three. Large machinery will be used throughout the works therefore we need all members to adhere to the new access layouts and to ensure juniors are informed of the new access protocols.

3. There should be no parking on the road outside the club, large machinery/delivery trucks will be moving in and out of the club during the redevelopment.
