To BLTC Members
These are exciting times.
Our Club is vibrant with lots of activity every day and we are on track with our plan to upgrade our facilities in line with membership decisions from our EGM in September.
We have received a few complaints of late about challenges with booking courts and also frustrations that other members are failing to cancel courts when not turning up to play.
Our Committee is constantly looking to get the balance right between individual member court availability, internal group events, court requirements for external competitions and coaching (both Junior and Adult). We think we are on the right track and we will continue to keep an eye on things.
Some areas that can really help us and your fellow members as follows
-
We would ask that if you book a court and then decide not to use it, whether it be for personal reasons or weather issues, you would always cancel the booking no matter how close to the booking time you make that decision .
-
We would ask too when you are booking courts that you book the courts under all the names of the people intended to use the courts. We understand that things may change and subs need to be brought in at times.
-
We would ask that everyone abides by the prime time booking restriction that was put in place a number of years back. Essentially this is intended to limit any individual member’s court time to one hour just between 7pm and 9pm, Monday through Thursday for equity reasons.
-
We would also encourage you to make use of the “watch” option on CM365 which will alert you if a court becomes available
Court availability challenges at peak times are not unique to our Club !!.
The Club is for all of us to use and we do want to ensure that everyone gets to play.
We have capped our membership and have implemented a waiting list which we continue to manage in the background.
Many thanks for your support with the above.
Looking forward to seeing many of you during our BLTC Closed tournament !
