BLTC AGM Election of Club Officers for 2023 – Proposals

Dear Members,

Further to the communication on Tuesday 17^th January outlining the agenda for our annual AGM on Wednesday night 25^th,   the following provides additional information relating to Agenda Item 7,  Election of Officers for 2023.   Please note that our current Club Officers are (1) Chairperson,   (2) Vice Chairperson,   (3) Treasurer  (4) Captain and (5) Secretary,  in line with the BLTC Constitution. 

The following will be proposed, seconded and presented to Members for approval during the Meeting

1. Election of Chairperson for 2023.    Niamh Hennessy will be stepping down from this role and Declan Forde has agreed to put his name forward for election as Chairperson

2. Election of Vice Chairperson for 2023; Declan Forde will be stepping down from this role and Niamh Hennessy has agreed to put her name forward for election as Vice Chairperson

3. Election of Treasurer for 2023;  Ed O’Sullivan will be stepping down from this role and Damian Furlong has agreed to put his name forward for election as Treasurer

4. Election of Captain for 2023;  Rosita Murphy,  Current Club Captain has agreed to put her name forward for re-election as Captain

5. Election of Secretary for 2023;  Mary Mahony,  Current Club Secretary has agreed to put her name forward for re-election as Secretary

If any other Club Member would like to submit their name for one of the above Club Officer roles for 2023,  please email admin@bltc.ie before 4pm on Wednesday in order for this to be factored into this Election of Officers agenda item.    Where there is more than one candidate for any of the above roles,   we will reach a successful outcome via a simple majority vote from those present at the AGM.   Any expression of interest received beyond the 4pm timeline on 25^th cannot be accommodated on the night.         

Agenda Item 5 (2022 and 2023 Operating Model) will also provide us with an opportunity to remind everyone once again of who all the members of the 2022 Committee and various sub-committees are,   recognize the amazing efforts put in by everyone over the last year,    specifically thank some special people who are stepping down from Committee roles and also share where we still have some gaps to fill in our 2023 model.
