SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS

Dear members,

We are delighted to bring you some very exciting news today. We have received news that we have been awarded close to €162,000 in Sports Capital Grant funding from the Government towards the development of courts four, five and six. As a result we now have the funding to complete the club redevelopment project, hopefully by the end of the year.

Once we have plans in place we will communicate to members on how the works will be managed. A very exciting time for the club as we look forward to having six fully resurfaced courts and some additional features courtside. We will also be working on plans which will see the upgrading of works inside the clubhouse. So overall much to look forward to.

This was a huge team effort to secure this funding and the team has been working extremely hard over the last year to ensure that we received as much funding as possible in this round for BLTC. In fact, we have secured one of the highest amounts of any club in the country in this round. A massive achievement. Thank you also to the political support we received along the way, especially from Tanaiste Micheal Martin, Michael McGrath, Cllr Terry Coleman, Cllr Colm Kellher, Cllr Seamus McGrath and Cllr Mary Rose Desmond.

This weekend we can all celebrate at the club as we will have Finals Day for the Citygate Dental BLTC Closed on Saturday – do come down if you can and enjoy some tennis and social events. Keep an eye on the schedule for match times for Semis on Friday night and Finals on Saturday.
