To all Bishopstown Lawn Tennis Club Members
Just to inform everyone that the annual kids tennis summer camp will be starting next Monday July 19th . The camp will run each day, Monday to Friday from 11am to 2pm, over 3 weeks. The one exception to these dates is the morning of Thursday 29th when the Club will be launching our ‘Team Up for Tennis’ initiative in partnership with Down Syndrome Ireland. The Club is happy to provide the court and court side facilities for the coming weeks in line with our mission statement. Many of the kids signed up are already family members and a number of our junior players will also be part of the organizing teams each week.
The summer camp will be managed strictly in line with Government and Tennis Ireland Covid 19 compliance guidelines. Camp attendees each week will be split into 4 pods and will arrive and leave at staggered times. Pods will not mix while at the club with the interests of both the camp participants and all of our Club members in mind. As part of our broader safety protocols, the Club gates will remain closed to cars until 2pm each day the camp is running. We would therefore ask that our members use the designated car parks adjacent to the Club if playing before 11am on these dates and request that the roadway directly outside the club house walls is not used for parking. We would also ask that any courts booked by members before 11am each morning are vacated by 10:45am in order to facilitate the necessary changeovers, setup and safety protocols. The Club will be open from 8:45am each morning to ensure that there is at least two hours pre-camp playing time available to our members
